What is the EPR

According to the compliance requirements and the environmental protection system guidance framework of the Extension of Producer Responsibility (EPR), different EU countries/regions, including but not limited to France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and Belgium, have successively formulated their EPR systems to determine the responsibility of producers.

What is EPR

EPR is the full name of Extended Producers Responsibility, translated as "Extended producer Responsibility". Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is an environmental policy requirement of the European Union. Mainly based on the "polluter pays" principle, producers are required to reduce the impact of their products on the environment throughout the life cycle of their products, and to be responsible for the entire life cycle of the products they put on the market (from the production design of the products to the management and disposal of wastes). In general, EPR aims to improve the quality of the environment by preventing and reducing the environmental impact of goods such as packaging and packaging waste, electronic goods and batteries.

The EPR is also a regulatory framework, which is legislated in different countries/regions of the EU. However, the EPR is not the name of a regulation, but an environmental requirement of the EU. For example: European Union Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive and German Electrical law, packaging law, battery law respectively belong to this system in the European Union and Germany's legislative practice.

A Producer is defined as the first party to the import of goods to the applicable country/region subject to EPR requirements, whether by means of domestic manufacture or import, and the Producer is not necessarily a manufacturer.

According to the requirements of EPR, our company has applied for the registration number of EPR in France and Germany and made the declaration. There are already goods manufactured that fully meet the requirements of the extended producer responsibility requirements for the manufacture of goods in these areas, already pay the appropriate Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) for recycling within the applicable period.
