What container can mashed potatoes be used in?

How to Make Mashed Potatoes?

Choose Potatoes: Waxy / Starchy

Whether starchy or waxy, potatoes are suitable for mashed potatoes as long as they are handled properly, and the key to getting a dense and smooth texture is to handle the starch in them.

Cooking method: boil / steam / bake

There are three most common: boiled, steamed and roasted (I have also tried microwave, which is actually steamed).

Ingredients: 500g waxy potatoes, 60g milk, 120g whipped cream, 1 clove of garlic (grated), salt and pepper to taste, 150g mozzarella cheese (grated)

1. Boil the potatoes until fully cooked, remove and drain, sieve with a food mill, and mix in the minced garlic.

2. Combine the milk and cream, heat until warm, add to the mashed potatoes one at a time, stirring vigorously with a rubber spatula, season with salt and pepper.

3. Gradually add the grated cheese to the warm mashed potatoes, stirring at the same time, until the mashed potatoes become almost shredded, smooth and delicate.
